Babbit Clock
This is an alarm clock that can also check your mail!
When you run Bclock.exe, it will put the Babbit clock in the lower right
corner of your desktop. Right click on the clock to produce a menu.
From top to bottom:
Set Alarm
You can specify a time of day (in 24 hour notation) for the alarm to go off.
The top check box, if set, means play the alarm sound. The bottom check
box, if set, will shake the screen (hit the Alt key to stop it).
Left button is OK, right button is CANCEL.
Check Mail
Top check box enables or disables mail checking (set it to enable). Then
you specify how often to check the mail (every 1 to 1000 minutes). The next
two check boxes indicate how you want to be notified: bounce the screen (top
box) and/or sound effect (bottom box). Finally, you need specify, in order,
the POP mail server to look at, the name of the e-mail account, and the
password for the account.
When all of these are set, the Babbit clock will check your mail and let you
know if anything has arrived!
Always on Top
Check this menu option and the Babbit clock will always be on top of all
windows.
Usually on Top
Check this menu option will cause the Babbit Clock to stay on top unless the
mouse moves over it at which time the clock hides itself until the mouse
moves away (in Windows 95 and Windows NT, an icon appears on the task icon
tray where you can get to the menu by right-clicking the icon).
Help
Calls up the help file. It's in Japanese.
First option gives overview of program.
Second option calls up index of help file.
Third option shows About box.
Exit
Exits Babbit clock.
